Oz Naturals | Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

Oz Naturals

Hyaluronic ACID SERUM.

Oz Naturals.

Helllllloo Beauties,

recently I have discovered a company called Oz Naturals who specialise in cruelty free, almost completely natural & organic skincare products. Their products are also Paraben, sulphate, mineral oil, lanolin and gluten free which is amazing and what enticed me more into wanting to try the products as I am trying to find a more natural way to look after my skin without compromising my normal daily skincare routine.

Co-Founder and Certified Esthetician, Angela Irish launched OZ Naturals as a company that embodies everything she’s passionate about — healthy skin, anti-aging, natural ingredients, and utilizing the latest technology to formulate the highest quality skin care products on the market.

Utilizing her personal experience of skin issues, that she understands that when your skin is unhealthy it can negatively affect your self-esteem. After try tons of products over the years she was always left with the same skin issues as before. Sometimes even worse than before. Angela knows how disheartening this can be, especially when so many skin care products make huge claims, and simply do not deliver. It’s especially frustrating when the cost of those products are hardly affordable, and you realize once again that you’ve wasted your money.

While it’s true that beautiful skin is also hereditary, healthy skin comes from taking care of the inside and outside of our bodies. However, finding the right products for your skin can be the toughest part of the equation. This is why OZ Naturals was founded, to create healthy, premium skin care products to help those who weren’t naturally born with perfect skin, to obtain more perfect skin. The kind of skin that everyone deserves to have.

Oz Naturals is a top brand seller on Amazon and also featured in many well known magazines in 2014 including, Allure, Elle, Instyle, Woman’s day and Marie Claire. I have been lucky enough to be sent the Hyaluronic Acid Serum, to try out for myself.

I must admit I don’t really use facial serums and didn’t really know what they were for, I do have somewhat problematic skin so adding something new into my daily skincare routine, can sometimes cause problems.

Since receiving the product, I have now learnt what serums are made to do, and that is to help deliver moisturiser deeper into the skin, giving it the much needed moisture and Oz Naturals.hydration it deserves.

I love the packaging it’s plain and simple, the Green and White work well together and is pleasing to the eye, it comes with Oz Naturals.a little glass pipette style dropper which I prefer as you can really control how much product you want without waste.

The serum is slippery in consistency and almost clear in colour, all though in a relatively small bottle a little definitely goes a long way with a slightly bigger than a pea sized amount covering my whole face this product will be sure to last a few months.

Rather than change my skincare routine completely, I have just added the serum in, after cleansing and toning but before moisturising.

The first day of use I did breakout, but this is the norm for me when adding a new product to my face, so I saw past that and couldn’t believe how soft and plump it had left my skin feeling once it had sunk in. I felt like I didn’t need moisturiser as my skin was so soft, but I followed the instructions and added my moisturiser as per usual. I woke up the next morning to be greeted with a wealth of disappointment as to how greasy my face was feeling, I had just managed to keep my oiliness under control, to then wake up and feel like I had dipped my face in a chip pan, but one thing I did notice, was for the first time in months I couldn’t feel a patch of dry skin on my face.

I persisted with the Serum and tried using less moisturiser than normal an voilà, no oily mess the next morning and my breakouts had calmed to which was a bonus. I have used the serum for 7 days so far, and all though I wasn’t sold on it at first I think I most definitely am now my skin seems so clear, redness greatly reduced, plump and radiant even my pores seem to have minimized – BONUS!! I had never thought about using serum before receiving this one but will almost certainly be a staple part of my daily routine.

This particular serum retails at £12.39 on Amazon which is a steal considering how long it is going to last and I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

Have you tried Oz Naturals? what do you think of them?

W7 Nail Bling – White Night.

Morning Guys,

If any of you follow me on my other social media sites you will know that I was recently very kindly sent some W7 Nail and make up products from the lovely people at Aquapr and today I am reviewing the Nail Bling set in White Night.

W7 Nail Bling - White Night

W7 Nail Bling – White Night

My nails have started to grow nicely recently so I have really gotten into painting them again regularly so I was pleased when they sent me something for my nails too, the only thing I was dubious about was the glitters in the set as the last time I used nail glitter it ended up all over my bed rather than on my nails as I’m really quite clumsy and careless when it comes to stuff like this but as long as I persevere and take my time I knew it would be fine.

I started by cleaning and applying a base coat to my nails as I have a somewhat uneven nail surface I opted for a ridge filler base coat by Make Up Gallery at Poundland; which left me with a nice even base for me to apply the W7 polish.

Ridge Filler Base Coat - Make Up Gallery.

Ridge Filler Base Coat – Make Up Gallery.

I waited for this to dry completely before applying the W7 polish. The instructions indicate for you to apply a first coat of polish and allow that to dry completely too so I did just that; it wasn’t the quickest drying polish I have ever used but none the less it dried in reasonable time, I was a little dubious as when I applied the first coat it seemed quite streaky and transparent in places but not to worry the 2nd coat was fine.

The packet then reads that you are to apply a 2nd coat of polish and before it dries you are to dip your nail in one of the glitter pots get the sparkly coat. I applied my 2nd coat nail by nail as I didn’t want the polish to dry by the time it came to coating the last nails I left the 2nd coat around 10 -15 seconds before dipping my nail in the glitter I gave them a quick blow and used a cotton bud to remove any excess from around my nails/fingers and patted gently on the nail to ensure the glitter was stuck, I then repeated these steps for my remaining nails. Once all nails were coated and completely dry I finished with a Clear top coat also from Make Up Gallery just to seal in the finished look.

All in all it was quite an easy process and took me around half an hour to do both hands as long as you take your time and be patient this can be a really cost effective way to Glam up your nails without having to leave your house the only thing I will point out is it was a little hard to get the whole of my thumb nail into the pot but I just used an old lip brush to apply the glitter to the bottom of the nail instead so it was no biggie :-).

I really enjoyed using this set, it was easier than I initially thought, I love the style of the W7 bottle it reminds me somewhat of the bottles used by O.P.I I had never owned W7 Nail polish before now, but I was impressed and have since bought some other W7 Polishes.

I would definitely recommend the Nail Bling sets if you are looking for pretty nails on a budget and I myself will be looking to purchase other sets in the range, I rate this product a 4 out 5 on it’s good quality and ease of application along with its lovely finish, perhaps if it was easier to fit my thumbs in the pot it would have been a 5.

Nail Bling can be bought in various on and off line stores and I have found prices start from around £2.45 per set on Amazon which is a steal if you ask me.

Feel Good Drinks – Apple & Blueberry.

Morning Lovelies,

As you all are aware from previous posts I was recently sent a case of Juice Drinks from Feel Good to test & review.

10962141_10206102725589855_117067577_n

Feel Good sent me 6 varieties of their juice 2 of each variety some sparkling and some still the flavours they sent were;

  • Apple & Blueberry
  • Cranberry & Apple
  • Cranberry & Lime
  • Cloudy Lemon
  • Orange & Passion-fruit
  • Orange & Mango.

And today I am reviewing the Apple & Blueberry flavour.FEE008 Apple_Blueberry(1)

I love the design of the bottle very smooth and sleek made from glass, it has a small ridge near to the bottom which means the bottle fits snug into the palm of your hand. The label is nice basic but nice a matte cream background with the Feel good logo encased in a coloured circle to match the drink nice bold lettering which is appealing to the eye. It’s just plain and simple the way things should be. On the back the information label is equally as appealing again in the same matte cream with coloured writing to match it has nice little pictures that attract you to the nutritional information. There isn’t a load of boring blurb about the drink just straight to the point info. Even though the bottle itself I find is lovely the thing I love most is that the company have incorporated Braille on their bottles and I commend them for that I know other companies use Braille on their packaging but not enough do, I think it should be made regulation so well done for that.

The drink itself…. Wow.

No Nasty bits – (Taken from the website)

“There has been a huge buzz around added sugar in juice drinks and hidden nasties in the newspapers and TV.

For over 10 years we’ve made our juices with absolutely no naughty bits!

This means absolutely NO ADDED SUGAR, all our drinks are made with 100% NATURAL INGREDIENTS and we’ve packed enough fruit in each drink to make up 1 of YOUR 5 A DAY!”

The drink itself is no less than amazing, upon cracking open the lid my nose was hit by an intense little burst of scent I can only describe as juicy fruitiness….mmmm.

The consistency is good they got the consistency just right unlike some other Juice manufacturers where by they are either too runny resembling water with a dribble of dilute squash or too thick which lay heavy on the stomach.

Now on to the taste this is the part I was looking forward too the most. The taste is equally as if not more pleasurable than the smell. Your taste-buds are hit with intense flavour you can really taste the Blueberry and there is that hint of Apple the perfect combination. When tasting it I can only compare the intense flavour to the way Violet Beauregard (You know that girl in Willy Wonka) reacted when she got to the dessert part of her 3 course dinner gum – That is before she turned into a human Blueberry simply marvellous!!

The bottles I received are 275ml the Apple & Blueberry only contained a mere 82.5 calories which is amazing combine this with the fact that the bottle contains 1 of your 5 a day and is made with natural ingredients and no hidden nasties this is definitely a keeper and good as part of a healthy balanced diet.

You can find Feel good drinks in a whole range of places across the UK you will almost certainly be able to find them in a supermarket near you. They come in a variety of sizes and come as a single or multi pack too.

Prices for the drink vary from place to place but are very reasonable and budget friendly you can pick up a jumbo 750ml bottle for around £2 and a pack of 4 x 275ml retails at a teeny weeny £2.99.

They are an all round hit for my family and I & we will definitely be purchasing them on a regular basis.

All in all Feel Good is a great company with great ethics and values, superb customer service and not forgetting amazing products and they deserve a 5* out of 5* for being a great all rounder.

Village Candle – Medium Jar in Fields of Clover – Citrus, Clover & Sweet Pea.

Hi Guys,

Today I am, reviewing the Village Candle Medium Jar Candle in Fields of Clover – Citrus, Clover & Sweet Pea.

10949929_10206011795356656_2003089387_n So, anyone who know’s me well knows that I love nothing more than sitting in the dark, telly off, with a nice candle lit I find nothing more relaxing than this we all have our own ways of relaxing and this is mine. I love good quality candles and have used another well known brand for years but more recently it seems to me that that the quality of that brand has deteriorated as soon as you light them they instantly emit black smoke , and the smell doesn’t seem to be a strong as what I was used to so they ended up becoming more frustrating than relaxing; I needed to find a new more reliable brand.

At around Christmas time I had seen on a friends Facebook status that she had received some new candles for Christmas, at first glance these candles looked very much like the brand I use but on closer inspection I found they were Village candle. Because they seemed so similar to the ones I was using and I hadn’t heard of them before I thought I would check them out;

Village Candle the essence of America – (Taken from their website)

“Village Candle Inc is a leading U.S manufacturer of handcrafted premium fragranced candles. Based in Wells, Maine this multi-million dollar turnover business services thousands of customers with its competitively priced, quality product range supporting the growth that has made it a leading brand in this category for almost 20 years.

Utilising 25 years of experience in the UK home accessories and giftware market, excellence in logistics management and customer service Village Candle UK Ltd will work with Village Candle Inc’s in house team of designers and perfumers to produce new concepts and fragrances.”

I decided to email Village Candle and and see if they had any samples for me to try, I had a really quick and lovely Reply from Managing Director Marvin who said he would gladly send me some samples to try. They definitely get a thumbs up for fast efficient customer service.

WOW …. Wasn’t I surprised by what I received, when I was told samples I expected a smaller votive style sampler and was happy with that but when 3 full sized Jars turned up I was ecstatic it was like Christmas had come again.

What I received;

1 x Large Jar in Beach Party – Orange flower & White Musk

1 x Small Jar Candle in Palm Beach – Blood Orange & Goji Berry

and the one I am reviewing today

1 x Medium Jar in Fields of Clover – Citrus, Clover & Sweet Pea.

When I opened the jar it was like an explosion of Fresh my nose was hit by what can only be described as a freshly cut grass smell and I couldn’t wait to get it lit.

I lit the 2 wicks – yes that’s right 2 wicks, why 2 wicks? I hear you ask well there is a couple of reasons behind this genius idea, first of all the wicks are smaller in diameter than those of a standard single wick candle as it helps the candle burn more efficiently stopping the tunnelling effect that other candles endure & promoting a more even burn with less wax residue and a big thing for me is that the dual wick also produces less smoke and soot meaning the wicks don’t have to be trimmed giving the candle an all round much cleaner burn. Since I have lit the candle I have not come across any black smoke or soot and am pretty sure I am not going to either. Other bonuses of the dual wick a much nicer, brighter, more relaxing glow and double the scent when burnt.

Within about 10 minutes of lighting the candle my nose was hit with that fresh smell again I was in heaven, within about half an hour the whole room was filled with the heavenly scent allowing me to imagine a cool summers evening walk across a freshly cut field it was amazing and I was totally relaxed. I nipped upstairs to run a bath and was totally amazed that the upstairs of my house to smelt like a freshly cut field its amazing how one small (ish) candle can produce such a stunning smell that fills a whole house.

So far so good; so far I haven’t got a bad word to say about these candles and I am not sure I ever will they have definitely wowed me above and beyond my expectations.

The medium candle is a generous 16oz and is stated to burn for approximately 105 hours all though I suspect it will burn for a lot longer as so far I have burnt it every day since I have had it maybe for around 50 hours and it doesn’t seem to have budged if it has it is a case of millimetres.

The price of these candles varies from place to place but I have noticed they all seem to be cheaper than another major brand. As well as Jars Village Candle also produces wax melts, votives and a whole array of other candles & accessories. you can buy them in many places just search for them in Google and it will give you a whole host of places that sell them including Amazon & Home Fragrance.

Other Fragrances include:

  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Pure Linen
  • Lemon pound cake
  • Warm Apple Pie
  • Brownie Delight
  • Lily of the Valley
  • Cinnamon bun
  • Mulled Cider
  • Wild Rose
  • Blueberry Muffin

And many many more.

In a nut shell;

If I had to pick 3 ways to describe Village Candle products they would be, Gorgeous, Great Quality & Un-beatable because in my books they cant be beaten.

All in all Village Candle is a great company with great customer service that produce great products, in my eyes they have a lot more to offer than other brands, you get more for your money and they are true to what they claim to be. Definitely my on my must have list and deserve a 5/5 they cant be faulted.

Mums Diary 2015 by Mums Office.

Good morning folks,

Today I am reviewing the Mums Diary 2015 which I was kindly sent to me by Mums Office to check out and review.

I have a really bad memory and need a diary for me to note the important stuff down, not only that I am constantly writing other stuff down, like meal plans, which companies have contacted me, who I have contacted, what I have received in the mail to test, what my son has got going on at school ect as well as all the other stuff like appointments and birthdays and well, bog standard diary’s never seem to cut it for me there is never enough room on each day to write everything down.

So I went on the hunt for a diary that had it all and that’s where I came across Mums Office a company that provides Lovely diaries and planners for busy on the go mums with enough room to plan everything you need to.

Here is their story– (taken from the website)

“MUM’s Office was conceived by Emma Fletcher, then a mother of three living in London. Three has now become four and family life gets increasingly busier. With the arrival of her third baby she found that life took on another dimension and something had to be done to bring order to her family’s life. She had to regain control. She had to get organised.

Primarily something was needed to help reduce the scheduling chaos. As a Mum you need to manage a number of schedules and coordinate them all to synchronise, nap times, school runs, after school activities, birthday parties. You need to know who needs to be where, who will be home for dinner, what you need to remember to send in to school next Monday with Freddie!

Most diaries have been designed with one user in mind. When you try to include your activities, your children’s, room for a to do list and the ultimate in home organisation – meal planning, you just run out of space. MUM’s Diary was born.  As with most families MUM’s Office has grown and we now have many siblings for the original MUM’s Diary.”

I totally agree with the fact that most diaries are just bog standard and aren’t made with busy families in mind and that’s what I liked about mums office they done the exact opposite and made a diary that has sections for anything and everything and was thrilled when I had one of my own arrive on my doorstep this week.

10928706_10205958926874977_1735360026_n

Earlier this week I received this gorgeous pink Mum’s Diary 2015 and anyone who knows me knows how much I love pink the label quotes that it is “The essential family diary that fits in your handbag”  This diary boasts a soft pink matte finish, smooth rounded corners and a handy gusset pocket on the inside back cover handy for keeping receipts, appointment cards and such like but knowing me I will probably keep coupons in it. It also has an attached pen loop, 2 beautiful Grosgrain ribbon page markers so not only can you bookmark one important page you can bookmark two if needs be and finally a pretty pink elastic strap to keep it all neat and together.

Inside the diary you will find a multitude of sections including:

  • Essential Family contact details & information
  • Our plans section covering booth 2015 & 16
  • Our week – For a quick easy glance at your week ahead
  • A Travel plans section- perfect for holidays or family trips
  • Dates to remember
  • A handy pocket money record – which is great for someone like me who forgets if I have or haven’t paid the pocket money yet
  • Need to know www. section for all those important web & email addresses which for me is a must.
  • In case I lose my mobile – a handy section for all your numbers in case the unfortunate happens
  • Need to know information – including clothes sizing charts and metric conversions as well as a temperature conversion an zodiac dates.

The diary also provides a section for every day of the year as well as a handy chart for every one else’s week and other handy pages such as top tips for mums and a handy page on how best to use the diary.

This particular Diary measures 18 x 12 cm and is the perfect size for your handbag and comes in a variety of colours including; Burnt Orange, Sea Green, Midnight Blue & Champagne. It retails at £14.95 and considering what you get I think its the perfect price for such a perfect Diary it really does have all you need and it’s a 5/5 from me.

Mum’s Office makes a wide variety of Planner’s and Diaries all equally as amazing as this one including;

  • The family address book
  • Mums pregnancy & baby diary
  • Dads to do list
  • the Big family diary

& a whole lot more!!

Simplee Aloe – Refreshing Aloe Vera Drink.

Hi Guys, I hope you are well?

Today I am Reviewing an Aloe Vera drink from a company called Simplee Aloe.

10934404_10205952995126687_1536932794_nSimplee Aloe very Kindly sent me 3 bottles to try after I had emailed them telling them that I was on a major health kick and I was looking for some good products to help get the good stuff into my body as my diet is shocking, today they arrived and they were nicely packaged so, whoever sent them thank you for that.

I liked the packaging on these cartons, the bright White & the crisp Green really go well together and makes the product stand out they have used a good quirky font which makes you take notice of what’s written on the bottle.

Aloe Vera is a form of plant, and is proven to have healing, soothing and moisturising factors, it’s used widely in the health, cosmetic & beauty industry from after sun to lip balm and more recently it has been taking the health food industry by storm who’d have thought you could drink something that goes into aftersun ? I didn’t. When consumed in food/drink form Aloe is great for your skin, it’s got great detoxing elements & it boosts your immune system Simplee Aloe claim that it is “Nature’s secret to health & youth”.

Why is it so different to other yucky Aloe drinks that we see floating around regularly on numerous advertising posts on social networks? Because the Aloe in this drink has been pressed & specially blended with Grape & Lemon and that’s it no added extras like nasty chemicals or Naughty E numbers its just pure and natural, which is what I like about this drink is that It doesn’t come from concentrate, it’s all natural and hasn’t got any artificial flavours or colourings unlike a lot of juices these days.

BUT ….. I was still scared to try it, even after hearing all the benefits and knowing it was mixed with grape the thought of Aloe in a drink just made me squirm. So, I took the cowards way out and left it in the fridge until my 10 year old came home from school because I knew he would try it with me :-).

Crunch time … That time had come where I couldn’t hold off tasting it for any longer my son was home and sat ready with me waiting to taste it, I poured it into the glass first to see the consistency and colour and I was pleasantly surprised I had feared that it was going to be a dark green gloopy like drink but to my surprise it was like a normal juice in consistency and I can only describe the colour as cloudy. Actually it reminded me of natural cloudy apple juice just a little more clear, although the carton does state Smooth it did have very, very fine bits in the drink but they were just pulp fibres and when it came to drinking it you couldn’t even tell they were there.

Tasting it …. I pulled face after face while putting the glass to my lips and then pulling it back again I must have done this about 6 times before taking the plunge with closed eyes ….. WOW this burst of freshness just hits your taste buds it’s instantly refreshing and tastes absolutely amazing so amazing that I had forgotten about what I had been so scared of in the first place. I really cant put my finger on an exact taste you definitely get a mild hint of grape. All in all It’s just a nice fresh drink & if refreshing were a flavour  that would definitely be it!!

This juice is undeniably a great everyday juice something you can look forward to, it comes in 2 size cartons a 1 litre carton ideal to keep at home for everyone to enjoy and a handy 330 ml carton great to just grab and go, for when your in a rush.

Simplee Aloe is available at Sainsburys, Amazon, Japan Centre & Whole foods market, the price ranges from around £3.50 for a 1 Litre bottle to around £14 for an multi-pack of 8 330 ml cartons which I think is reasonable for this quality of drink and I for one will definitely be buying it on a regular basis as well as recommending it to friends and family.
