Feel Good sent me 6 varieties of their juice 2 of each variety some sparkling and some still the flavours they sent were;

  • Apple & Blueberry
  • Cranberry & Apple
  • Cranberry & Lime
  • Cloudy Lemon
  • Orange & Passion-fruit
  • Orange & Mango.

And today I am reviewing the Apple & Blueberry flavour.FEE008 Apple_Blueberry(1)

I love the design of the bottle very smooth and sleek made from glass, it has a small ridge near to the bottom which means the bottle fits snug into the palm of your hand. The label is nice basic but nice a matte cream background with the Feel good logo encased in a coloured circle to match the drink nice bold lettering which is appealing to the eye. It’s just plain and simple the way things should be. On the back the information label is equally as appealing again in the same matte cream with coloured writing to match it has nice little pictures that attract you to the nutritional information. There isn’t a load of boring blurb about the drink just straight to the point info. Even though the bottle itself I find is lovely the thing I love most is that the company have incorporated Braille on their bottles and I commend them for that I know other companies use Braille on their packaging but not enough do, I think it should be made regulation so well done for that.

The drink itself…. Wow.

No Nasty bits – (Taken from the website)

“There has been a huge buzz around added sugar in juice drinks and hidden nasties in the newspapers and TV.

For over 10 years we’ve made our juices with absolutely no naughty bits!

This means absolutely NO ADDED SUGAR, all our drinks are made with 100% NATURAL INGREDIENTS and we’ve packed enough fruit in each drink to make up 1 of YOUR 5 A DAY!”

The drink itself is no less than amazing, upon cracking open the lid my nose was hit by an intense little burst of scent I can only describe as juicy fruitiness….mmmm.

The consistency is good they got the consistency just right unlike some other Juice manufacturers where by they are either too runny resembling water with a dribble of dilute squash or too thick which lay heavy on the stomach.

Now on to the taste this is the part I was looking forward too the most. The taste is equally as if not more pleasurable than the smell. Your taste-buds are hit with intense flavour you can really taste the Blueberry and there is that hint of Apple the perfect combination. When tasting it I can only compare the intense flavour to the way Violet Beauregard (You know that girl in Willy Wonka) reacted when she got to the dessert part of her 3 course dinner gum – That is before she turned into a human Blueberry simply marvellous!!

The bottles I received are 275ml the Apple & Blueberry only contained a mere 82.5 calories which is amazing combine this with the fact that the bottle contains 1 of your 5 a day and is made with natural ingredients and no hidden nasties this is definitely a keeper and good as part of a healthy balanced diet.

You can find Feel good drinks in a whole range of places across the UK you will almost certainly be able to find them in a supermarket near you. They come in a variety of sizes and come as a single or multi pack too.

Prices for the drink vary from place to place but are very reasonable and budget friendly you can pick up a jumbo 750ml bottle for around £2 and a pack of 4 x 275ml retails at a teeny weeny £2.99.

They are an all round hit for my family and I & we will definitely be purchasing them on a regular basis.

All in all Feel Good is a great company with great ethics and values, superb customer service and not forgetting amazing products and they deserve a 5* out of 5* for being a great all rounder.

Simplee Aloe – Refreshing Aloe Vera Drink.

Hi Guys, I hope you are well?

Today I am Reviewing an Aloe Vera drink from a company called Simplee Aloe.

10934404_10205952995126687_1536932794_nSimplee Aloe very Kindly sent me 3 bottles to try after I had emailed them telling them that I was on a major health kick and I was looking for some good products to help get the good stuff into my body as my diet is shocking, today they arrived and they were nicely packaged so, whoever sent them thank you for that.

I liked the packaging on these cartons, the bright White & the crisp Green really go well together and makes the product stand out they have used a good quirky font which makes you take notice of what’s written on the bottle.

Aloe Vera is a form of plant, and is proven to have healing, soothing and moisturising factors, it’s used widely in the health, cosmetic & beauty industry from after sun to lip balm and more recently it has been taking the health food industry by storm who’d have thought you could drink something that goes into aftersun ? I didn’t. When consumed in food/drink form Aloe is great for your skin, it’s got great detoxing elements & it boosts your immune system Simplee Aloe claim that it is “Nature’s secret to health & youth”.

Why is it so different to other yucky Aloe drinks that we see floating around regularly on numerous advertising posts on social networks? Because the Aloe in this drink has been pressed & specially blended with Grape & Lemon and that’s it no added extras like nasty chemicals or Naughty E numbers its just pure and natural, which is what I like about this drink is that It doesn’t come from concentrate, it’s all natural and hasn’t got any artificial flavours or colourings unlike a lot of juices these days.

BUT ….. I was still scared to try it, even after hearing all the benefits and knowing it was mixed with grape the thought of Aloe in a drink just made me squirm. So, I took the cowards way out and left it in the fridge until my 10 year old came home from school because I knew he would try it with me :-).

Crunch time … That time had come where I couldn’t hold off tasting it for any longer my son was home and sat ready with me waiting to taste it, I poured it into the glass first to see the consistency and colour and I was pleasantly surprised I had feared that it was going to be a dark green gloopy like drink but to my surprise it was like a normal juice in consistency and I can only describe the colour as cloudy. Actually it reminded me of natural cloudy apple juice just a little more clear, although the carton does state Smooth it did have very, very fine bits in the drink but they were just pulp fibres and when it came to drinking it you couldn’t even tell they were there.

Tasting it …. I pulled face after face while putting the glass to my lips and then pulling it back again I must have done this about 6 times before taking the plunge with closed eyes ….. WOW this burst of freshness just hits your taste buds it’s instantly refreshing and tastes absolutely amazing so amazing that I had forgotten about what I had been so scared of in the first place. I really cant put my finger on an exact taste you definitely get a mild hint of grape. All in all It’s just a nice fresh drink & if refreshing were a flavour  that would definitely be it!!

This juice is undeniably a great everyday juice something you can look forward to, it comes in 2 size cartons a 1 litre carton ideal to keep at home for everyone to enjoy and a handy 330 ml carton great to just grab and go, for when your in a rush.

Simplee Aloe is available at Sainsburys, Amazon, Japan Centre & Whole foods market, the price ranges from around £3.50 for a 1 Litre bottle to around £14 for an multi-pack of 8 330 ml cartons which I think is reasonable for this quality of drink and I for one will definitely be buying it on a regular basis as well as recommending it to friends and family.
