Helllllooooo Beauties,

Recently I was very kindly sent a goody bag from the lovely people at Halo. Halo specialize in handy grab and go packs of wipes, suitable for many a situation. Whether you’re a busy mum or have a crazy on the go life, there is sure to be something in their range that will make things just that little bit simpler.

Halo Wipes.

Here’s what Halo have to say

You have a busy lifestyle, either at work or play. “You time” is snatched between the demands of others. Halo wipes offer the ideal personal care solution ensuring “freshness on the go” wherever you are. We love them and we think you will too.

And I have to agree I love them.

The Halo range consists of:

  • Fragrance Free Facial Wipes
  • Moistened Toilet Tissue
  • Hand Wipes
  • Deodorant Wipes
  • Antibacterial Multi-surface Wipes
  • Eye Make-up Remover Wipes

All come in packs of 10 apart from the Eye Make-up Remover which is a pack of 30, retail for around £1.09 a pack and can be found in Tesco, Superdrug, Boots, Spar, Sainsbury’s and many independent pharmacies.

I can’t find any negatives about the company or the products, maybe in the future I would like to see Halo produce bigger packs to keep at home, as I really like the quality of the wipes and they do what they claim to do which is a plus for me as all to many companies these days claim that their products can work miracles when really all you pay for is fancy packaging and not much else.

I love, how the company has clearly thought about what people want/need when producing these little gems and I think they could become a staple part in many a daily routine.

Any one who knows me personally will know how petrified I am of public toilets, I can’t Halo Wipes.be the only one who has this strange phobia? But it sure does feel like it when friends look at me oddly when out on day trips and I will not use the toilet however desperate I get – which by the way I do not recommend, as it is no good for your health, nor your bladder, but the antibacterial wipes did help me with this, I’m not saying they cured my phobia and I still not by any means don’t jump at the chance to use a public toilet, but they have helped in my more desperate times. They smell fresh and clean, left the surface looking clean, usable and not so scary and didn’t Halo Wipes.irritate the eczema on my hands like other Antibacterial wipes do.

The Moist toilet tissue is another saviour and must for when your out and about, leave you feeling fresh and don’t irritate the intimate area, feel soft with a citrusy scent and are ideal when you get the cubicle with no loo roll, or the loo roll that looks like its made to tear you to pieces.

Halo WipesAll though only 10 in a pack the hand wipes really go a long way, 1 was enough to clean 3 lots of messy hands when we were feeding the farm animals at the local nature trail which is often a disgusting slobbery mess. They are so soft, and thick with added moisturiser and leave your hands feeling gentle and hydrated.

Halo Wipes. The Eye Make-up remover pads are most definitely value for money having 30 in a pack. They are double sided and have one smooth and one waffled side perfect for tackling that tough eye make-up and waterproof mascara, I love these handy little wipes they don’t tug at the eyes and there is no fibre fall off which can be irritating, they don’t sting either unlike many other eye make-up removers and wipes. These were definitely a big hit for me.

I am yet to try the Deodorant Wipes Or the Facial wipes but I’m sure I will love them as much as I love the others.

E.O.S Vs. W7 | How do they compare?

Battle of the balms

e.o.s vS. w7

How do they compare?

New York Company E.O.S (evolution of smooth) founded in 2006 is the name behind E.O.S Lip Balm.the genius product that is the E.O.S sphere lip balm that took the world by storm and was definitely one of the most popular lip balms the world had ever seen. Everyone and anyone either owned or wanted to own one of these pretty little pots. The only downside to these beauties is that they aren’t readily available in the UK – meaning you can’t just walk into your local drugstore and find one there. you have to scour the internet for them and they either come with a hefty shipping cost or are a lot more expensive than their retail value although if you look hard enough you can find a couple that are reasonably priced on Amazon as I did recently when I bagged myself one for £3.25 + FREE delivery.

W7 Lip Bomb.I was so happy to receive my pretty little sphere of joy, that was until a few weeks later when I discovered W7 – the brand of dupes had just released their own version called the Lip Bomb almost identical I wondered how this E.O.S dupe compared to the original. I searched the web and found the Lip Bomb on the trusty Amazon but was shocked to see that it came in at 24p more than the E.O.S that I had recently purchased, so I didn’t purchase it until a few weeks later when I found it in a local peacocks store for £2.50. Now was crunch time how did they compare??

PACKAGING: Both balms are packaged pretty much the same, in the fact they are both encased in a spherical sort of ball/egg type shape that twists apart at the middle. E.O.S Lip Balm.Although I do prefer the rubberised texture of the E.O.S as they are so small it makes them easier to grip when applying. I also like the fact that the E.O.S has its brand name engraved into the top of the product where as the Lip Bomb has hefty black writing on the side which I think looks a little tacky.

SCENT/FLAVOUR: I have both of the products in Strawberry flavour, they both do smell the way you would expect a Strawberry product to smell but the W7 wins here as the E.O.S has some what of a waxy under scent, but when applied the W7 Lip Bomb.E.O.S actually tastes nicer.

FEEL, LOOK & LONGEVITY: Both balms compare just as well as one an other in this category and I like both equally but for different reasons, for instance; the W7 has more of a glossy/wet finish so I would use this on its own or on top of lip colour, all though it is a little stickier than the E.O.S. The E.O.S I like to use before I apply lip colour it isn’t as wet and not as sticky but protects my lips nicely and has a little more staying power than the W7.

All in all, I couldn’t quite pick between the two on which I liked best they both had their ups and downs and I like them equally for different things and will probably purchase both again in the future.

Have you tried these products? which is your fave?

W7 Nail Bling – White Night.

Morning Guys,

If any of you follow me on my other social media sites you will know that I was recently very kindly sent some W7 Nail and make up products from the lovely people at Aquapr and today I am reviewing the Nail Bling set in White Night.

W7 Nail Bling - White Night

W7 Nail Bling – White Night

My nails have started to grow nicely recently so I have really gotten into painting them again regularly so I was pleased when they sent me something for my nails too, the only thing I was dubious about was the glitters in the set as the last time I used nail glitter it ended up all over my bed rather than on my nails as I’m really quite clumsy and careless when it comes to stuff like this but as long as I persevere and take my time I knew it would be fine.

I started by cleaning and applying a base coat to my nails as I have a somewhat uneven nail surface I opted for a ridge filler base coat by Make Up Gallery at Poundland; which left me with a nice even base for me to apply the W7 polish.

I waited for this to dry completely before applying the W7 polish. The instructions indicate for you to apply a first coat of polish and allow that to dry completely too so I did just that; it wasn’t the quickest drying polish I have ever used but none the less it dried in reasonable time, I was a little dubious as when I applied the first coat it seemed quite streaky and transparent in places but not to worry the 2nd coat was fine.

The packet then reads that you are to apply a 2nd coat of polish and before it dries you are to dip your nail in one of the glitter pots get the sparkly coat. I applied my 2nd coat nail by nail as I didn’t want the polish to dry by the time it came to coating the last nails I left the 2nd coat around 10 -15 seconds before dipping my nail in the glitter I gave them a quick blow and used a cotton bud to remove any excess from around my nails/fingers and patted gently on the nail to ensure the glitter was stuck, I then repeated these steps for my remaining nails. Once all nails were coated and completely dry I finished with a Clear top coat also from Make Up Gallery just to seal in the finished look.

All in all it was quite an easy process and took me around half an hour to do both hands as long as you take your time and be patient this can be a really cost effective way to Glam up your nails without having to leave your house the only thing I will point out is it was a little hard to get the whole of my thumb nail into the pot but I just used an old lip brush to apply the glitter to the bottom of the nail instead so it was no biggie :-).

I really enjoyed using this set, it was easier than I initially thought, I love the style of the W7 bottle it reminds me somewhat of the bottles used by O.P.I I had never owned W7 Nail polish before now, but I was impressed and have since bought some other W7 Polishes.

I would definitely recommend the Nail Bling sets if you are looking for pretty nails on a budget and I myself will be looking to purchase other sets in the range, I rate this product a 4 out 5 on it’s good quality and ease of application along with its lovely finish, perhaps if it was easier to fit my thumbs in the pot it would have been a 5.

Nail Bling can be bought in various on and off line stores and I have found prices start from around £2.45 per set on Amazon which is a steal if you ask me.

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color – 903 Silver Elements.

Hi guys this evening I have for you a quick review of Sally Hansen’s Magnetic Nail Color in 903 Silver Elements.

So, recently I have once again become obsessed with Make-up and Beauty I went through a stage (a very long stage) of not giving a damn and not making much of an effort with myself I may of seemed like I didn’t care on the surface but deep down I hated it and myself. I’ve gotten to the stage where I’m fed up of feeling errrrgggh and realised the only person who could change that feeling was me. I want to get back to feeling happy and good in myself. I have started doing a full face of make up every morning and styling my hair again rather than just sticking to the regular un-brushed birds nest on top of my head even my nails are manicured if I get a chip then its off with that polish and a new one is applied having nice nails always makes you feel good, well it does me anyway.

Since the old NEW me has re-appeared there hasn’t been one shopping trip where I haven’t purchased any health or beauty items and today was no exception browsing through my local Poundland beauty section I came across a Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color (I know we spell it colour but that’s what the packaging says) and at a £1 (OBVIOUSLY) I Couldn’t leave it there I love how the budget stores are now stocking big branded Make-up it means everyone can enjoy big brand names on a budget it’s great.

Nails Painted in Sally Hanson Magnetic Colour – 903 Silver Elements.

Once I got home I couldn’t wait to try it so off I went upstairs to create a masterpiece on my Nails.

The instructions are pretty straight forward:

  1. Apply 1 coat of base coat
  2. Shake magnetic Nail Color to activate
  3. Remove overcap with magnet and set aside
  4. Apply 1 coat of Magnetic Color to all 10 nails and let dry completely
  5. Apply a thick 2nd coat of color to 1 nail and immediately hold the built in magnetic cover over the nail rest the guide just past the cuticle being  careful not to touch the wet polish
  6. Hold in position for 10 seconds
  7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 until all 10 nails are complete
  8. Finish wish a top coat if needed.

I have never had much faith in Magnetic nail polishes so therefore have never purchased them but for a £1 I had nothing to lose by purchasing this one. I should never have worried after perfecting steps 5 through 7 my nails turned out great as you can see in the picture above. I didn’t finish mine with a top coat as it kept making my nails sticky but it’s totally your preference.

I love most things about this polish I love the shape of the bottle I’m pretty funny with shapes and don’t like polishes in square bottles – odd I know!! The magnet is on top of the lid but the clever part is it detaches revealing the brush has its own lid underneath; very handy. The cap has the pattern of the magnet etched into it but it also makes the bottle look really cool, the colour goes on evenly and is quite opaque which I love you could use this polish without the magnet effect and get away with only doing one coat it also dries surprisingly quickly which is more than I can say for other brands of nail polish. The only one quibble I have is that it hasn’t got a large fan brush but it’s not really a problem it’s just that I have gotten used to the brush on the Rimmel Salon Pro polishes that I have been using recently. All in all This Is quite a good polish and gives a good effect n the nails I love this colour but am going to try more if I can find them, I have found this Polish  on Amazon for £1.99 upwards so definitely a bargain at £1 and I would definitely recommend to others.
